Privacy notice

How Skylark handles personal information for its data service.

Effective October 31, 2026

Scope and contact

Skylark Digital Assets LLC, a Virginia company based in Richmond, operates the Skylark Data website at data.skylarkdigitalassets.com. This notice explains personal information handled in connection with that website, data-service inquiries and the administration of evaluation or licensing relationships. The Research Terminal, mobile apps and other services may have separate notices.

For privacy requests or questions, email support@theskylarkframework.com with the subject “Skylark Data privacy request.” This existing Skylark support address also serves the data service. Please do not send passwords, API secrets, government identifiers, portfolio records or sensitive personal information in an ordinary inquiry.

Current service status

The public data website provides product information and accepts institutional inquiries. It displays index charts, product information and synthetic technical examples. It does not currently create customer accounts, collect payment-card details, issue customer credentials or activate licensed access. Email inquiries are handled outside the website through Gmail. An inquiry does not start an evaluation or grant data access.

Information handled

If you contact us, we receive information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, organization or professional role, requested datasets, intended use, correspondence and attachments. Do not provide another person's information unless you are authorized to do so.

Website and infrastructure providers may process technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP addresses, request times, requested pages, browser information and error or security records.

When an evaluation or license is separately arranged, administration may require contractual identity and contact details, an approved user/system record, scope and term information, delivery and security correspondence, and access or usage records. Billing or invoice information is relevant only if a paid relationship is separately agreed. The exact access method and service terms are established before activation.

The published financial indices are proprietary research outputs. They are separate from personal information about visitors or licensees. This service is not intended to receive customer portfolios, health records, government identifiers or other sensitive personal records.

Purposes

We use data-service personal information to respond to inquiries, assess technical fit, arrange and administer agreed evaluations or licenses, provide support, protect access and security, handle billing when applicable, resolve disputes, enforce agreed terms and comply with legal obligations.

Skylark does not sell this information or use it for third-party advertising. The current preview does not use advertising pixels, third-party analytics scripts or application tracking cookies.

Providers and disclosures

Providers used for this service include:

  • Railway for hosting and deployment infrastructure.
  • Google Gmail for email and support correspondence.
  • Network Solutions for domain-related services.

These providers may process information involved in supplying their respective services. Provider handling is subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices. The website serves its fonts locally and does not request Google Fonts when a visitor opens a page.

We may also disclose relevant information to professional advisers supporting the business, when legally required, or when reasonably necessary to address security incidents, protect legal rights or resolve a dispute. If the relevant business is transferred, personal information may be reviewed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and confidentiality protections.

We do not publish a licensee's identity, evaluation feedback or customer relationship as a testimonial without the required separate permission.

Cookies and external connections

The current preview application does not set account/session cookies, use local storage for tracking, or include advertising or analytics scripts. Hosting, network and other providers may handle technical requests and operational records under their own service configurations. Fonts are served from this website. Following a link to another website or opening an email link involves that destination or your email provider and its practices.

If accounts, payment services or analytics are added, this notice and any applicable choices must be updated to describe the new handling before those features are enabled.

Retention and deletion

Skylark has not yet implemented fixed retention periods for data-service personal information. A conditional monthly review may move eligible data-service administrative records to supported providers’ native Trash after applicable retention requirements and holds have been checked. Those providers normally delete records after 30 days in Trash. Unknown eligibility prevents an automatic move. This conditional process is not a fixed automatic deletion schedule from collection and does not promise removal of backup or provider-held copies.

You may request deletion using the privacy contact above. We will review the request and any applicable legal rights, verification needs, ongoing service requirements, security needs, legal-retention duties or dispute holds. Deletion from active records does not necessarily remove protected backup or provider-held copies immediately. Applicable legal obligations continue to govern retention and deletion regardless of the absence of a fixed schedule.

Requests and choices

You may contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information associated with the data service, or to ask about other privacy rights that apply to you. We may ask for proportionate information to verify a request; do not send a government ID unless a secure method is specifically arranged and necessary. We will respond in accordance with applicable law and explain limitations or a denial where required. If applicable law provides an appeal right, reply to the privacy contact with the subject “Privacy appeal.” You may also contact the relevant privacy regulator or authority.

We do not require agreement to publicity as a condition of submitting a privacy request. Nothing in this notice limits non-waivable rights or grants rights to redistribute Licensed Data.

Processing location and security

Skylark is based in the United States. Information handled through our providers may be processed in the United States or other locations used by those providers; this notice does not promise storage in a particular country. Additional contractual or legal requirements must be addressed before activating a service where required.

The public website uses HTTPS. Email and other services have their own security controls and limitations. No transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Report suspected exposure of data-service information or credentials to the privacy contact; do not include the credential itself in the report.

Children

The service is intended for adult business and professional research users, not children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the data service, contact us so we can review and address it as required by law.

Changes

The effective date identifies this version. We will update the notice when practices change and provide additional notice or obtain consent where applicable law requires. This notice does not amend a signed data license or incorporate itself into that agreement merely by being linked from it.
